NB Power recently registered an environmental impact assessment (EIA) for the installation of a small nuclear reactor (SMR) unit at the Point Lepreau Nuclear Generating Station near Maces Bay, N.B.  The minister determined that an in-depth comprehensive EIA was required, which would involve the public and First Nation’s participation.
