Overview

The Games of La Francophonie, the only major international games to present both cultural and sporting competitions, offer a unique opportunity to spotlight the wide reach and originality of the French culture, at the same time as the athletic capacities of French-speaking countries around the world.

The Games have enabled thousands of artists from the 80 member states and governments of La Francophonie to perform on the international stage.

The IX Games will be held in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo, July 28-August 6, 2023.

Eligibility

If you are an artist in one of the following disciplines and a New Brunswick resident age 18 to 35, you could be selected by a provincial jury and an international jury to be part of New Brunswick’s cultural team.
• Painting
• Sculpture-installation
• Photography
• Song
• Storytelling
• Literature (short story)

Description

The Arts and Culture Branch manages all aspects of the cultural competitions for the Games of La Francophonie for the Province of New Brunswick, including the selection of artists, the jury process, as well as supervision of the artists at the Games.

Level of Funding:
The program offers an amount of up to $12,000 for song and dance and up to $3,000 for the other disciplines.

Submission of applications:
Deadline for applications is September 30, 2022.
