Overview
This program deals with all official place names in New Brunswick. This program allows requests for new toponyms, or changes to existing toponyms as well as modifications to the form, spelling, or application of existing names.

Description
In New Brunswick, Toponymy Services is mandated to receive and review requests regarding the naming of places and geographical features as well as requests for name changes.
Organizations wishing to request :
• a new toponym, for a place or a geographical feature,
• a name change to an existing toponym, or
• modifications in the form, spelling, or application of existing toponyms
may submit their request to Toponymy Services through the Toponymy Services Section at the contact provided below.
A request will be required to include the location, the origin and the reason for the proposed toponym. Requests under this program can be submitted at any time.
