Overview

The Built Heritage Program provides funding for conservation-based projects that support the continued use of heritage places while maintaining the location’s unique heritage value.

Built Heritage includes heritage buildings, structures, and landscapes.

The program has two components:

Component A provides funding for conservation related services and expertise, such as specialized design and engineering. The department may contribute up to 75% of costs to a maximum of $5,000 per project.
Component B provides funding for conservation related capital expenditures such as repairs and renovations deemed necessary for preservation, rehabilitation, and restoration.
