FREDERICTON (GNB) – The following message was issued today by Premier Blaine Higgs to mark Canada Day, Saturday, July 1:
It is no secret that Canada has a reputation for kindness, breathtaking scenery, and the best tasting maple syrup the world has to offer. We have also shown the world that we are a welcoming place for newcomers to settle and start a new life.
This year, as New Brunswickers join their fellow Canadians in marking our nation’s 156th birthday, I hope you take a few moments to reflect upon all the things that make Canada such a great place to call home.
I am proud to be Canadian and proud of all we have accomplished as a country. I look forward to seeing what we can achieve together in the years ahead.
