FREDERICTON (GNB) – New Brunswick residents attending post-secondary education programs starting between Aug. 1, 2021 and July 31, 2022 can now apply for student financial assistance.

Students should complete their applications for the 2021-22 academic year as early as possible to allow staff time to review them, determine whether additional information or documentation is required, and help ensure eligible funding is available for the beginning of the study period.

Assessment results informing students of their eligible funding amounts will be available beginning in mid-July.

There are several forms of assistance, including loans, grants and bursaries. Programs are available from both the provincial and federal governments, and they can be accessed with one application.

Students and their families can apply and learn more about the student financial assistance programs available to them online. Additional information will be provided through a number of virtual Question and Answer Sessions scheduled to take place throughout the month of June.
