FREDERICTON (GNB) – Progress is being made in contract talks with the New Brunswick Teachers’ Federation, said Finance and Treasury Board Minister Ernie Steeves.

Earlier this week the provincial government received and accepted a conciliation board report outlining recommendations for a collective agreement.

The conciliation board was requested following unsuccessful two-party talks and working through a conciliator. The federation includes more than 7,800 employees in the public school system whose most recent collective agreement expired in February 2021.
