FREDERICTON (GNB) -- The provincial government has reached a tentative collective agreement with the Crown prosecutors bargaining unit represented by the Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada.

“I thank both negotiating teams for their efforts in achieving this agreement,” said Premier Blaine Higgs. “This is the end result of a round of bargaining conducted with a spirit of collaboration and respect.”

This group includes over 60 Crown prosecutors and family Crown counsel with the Office of the Attorney General.

The parties have agreed to withhold details of the agreement pending its ratification.
