Government of New Brunswick
2011 National Household Survey (NHS) Highlights

Statistics Canada conducted the National Household Survey (NHS) for the first time in 2011. This new voluntary survey replaced the mandatory long-form census questionnaire and collected demographic, social and economic data about the Canadian population. The reference date of the NHS was May 10, 2011, the same as the 2011 Census of Population.

This page presents short analytical bulletins, prepared by the Department of Finance, which focus on New Brunswick’s NHS results and characteristics of the population. These articles, together with highlights from the 2011 Census, will help paint a picture of New Brunswick’s demographic, economic and social composition.
